Bilingual Teacher Scholars Program

Amount: $3,000 per year

Eligibility

  • High school student (on track to graduate from an Oregon high school)
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Admitted to Western Oregon University (apply by January 15, 2019)

Chemeketa Foundation Scholarships

·         Apply between February 1 – March 31, 2019

·         There are many general scholarships and you may apply for all of them with one application.

·         CCC is holding 4 workshops on how to apply, etc., two in Salem and one each in Yamhill & Dallas.

Chemeketa Scholars

·         Chemeketa Scholars may receive full tuition for up to 2 years, including the summer between

·         Must pay for books and fees yourself (submit FAFSA for help with these)

·         Cumulative unweighted GPA through 1st semester of the senior year of 3.5 or higher  

·         Full time CCC enrollment next fall (minimum 12 credits); if join military within 3 months of graduating, can enroll at CCC within one year of discharge

·         Home schooled students may apply

·         ACT composite score of 28 or SAT combined Reading & Writing score of 1330

·         Complete Chemeketa placement tests and earn minimum placement into Reading 115, Writing 115 and Math 095 

·         Information session: January 18 2018, 6:30 pm at the Salem campus, Building 6 Auditorium 

·         Apply at go.chemeketa.edu/scholars

·         Apply between March 4-8, 2019, by 5:00 p.m.      

·         To keep this scholarship for the 2nd year, you must maintain a 3.25 GPA at CCC (30% of the recipients don't) Plan to work hard.

·         If you keep your grades up for both years and take the maximum load, this scholarship is worth $8,000!


College Board Opportunity Scholarships

Award: Varies depending on steps completed. Completion of all steps will make student eligible to win up to $40,000.

Eligibility: Open to U.S. juniors. This scholarship does not require and essay, application, or minimum GPA.

Diversity Scholarships

·       Check with any University to see if they offer Diversity Scholarships.

·       Most universities offer diversity scholarships anywhere from $500-$2,000 a term. Being diverse means showing a great deal of variety. In today's society, it's easy to become accustom to surroundings and blend in with the crowd, simply because it's easier. o    Must be a son or daughter of a current Oregon Wheat Growers League grower member, or a son or daughter of an employee of an Oregon Wheat Growers League grower member

o    Must have worked part time for a wheat producer member of the OWGL

·         Submit ONE application to be eligible for over 450 scholarships - this is the source of all state-awarded financial aid
