Beat the Odds Scholarship
  • AWARDS | Four $10,000 scholarships ($2,500 per year)
  • ELIGIBILITY | Enrolled in Oregon Public school, will graduate in 2018, 3.0 GPA, succeeded despite hardships, volunteered in activities helpful to others, demonstrated financial need.

Chemeketa Foundation Scholarships 

  • Apply between February 1 - March 31, 2019     
  • There many general scholarships, and you may apply for all of them with one application.
  • CCC is holding 4 workshops on how to apply, etc., two in Salem and one each in Yamhill & Dallas.

Chemeketa Scholars 
  • Chemeketa Scholars may receive full tuition for up to 2 years, including the summer between
  • Must pay for books and fees yourself (submit FAFSA for help with these)
  • Cumulative unweighted GPA through 1st semester of the senior year of 3.5 or higher   
  • Full time CCC enrollment next fall (minimum 12 credits); if join military within 3 months of graduating, can enroll at CCC within one year of discharge
  • Home schooled students may apply
  • ACT composite score of 28 or SAT combined Reading & Writing score of 1330
  • Complete Chemeketa placement tests and earn minimum placement into Reading 115, Writing 115 and Math 095

  • To keep this scholarship for the 2nd year, you must maintain a 3.25 GPA at CCC (30% of the recipients don't) Plan to work hard.
  • If you keep your grades up for both years and take the maximum load, this scholarship is worth $8,000!

Diversity Scholarships 

Check with any University to see if they offer Diversity Scholarships.
Most universities offer diversity scholarships anywhere from $500-$2,000 a term. Being diverse means showing a great deal of variety. In today's society, it's easy to become accustom to surroundings and blend in with the crowd, simply because it's easier. If you have it in you, we highly recommend you take advantage of your diversity and let others know what you're capable of. For questions, visit the College & Career Center.

Health Care Scholarship

  • Attend an eligible high school (including CHS)
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (weighted).
  • Are planning to pursue an education and career in an approved human health care field (see list at application website).
  • Plan to enroll in Fall 2018 at a U.S accredited college or university as a full-time, degree or certificate-seeking first year student.       
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency is not required..

Selection Criteria:

  • Academic achievement.
  • Engagement in activities (extracurricular, community service, and/or work).
  • Commitment to a career in health care.
  • Character qualities.
  • Diversity characteristics.
  • Economic and/or social disadvantage.

Better Business Bureau (BBB) Students of Integrity Scholarship

  • Have attended a high school from the states of Alaska, Oregon or Washington.
  • Graduate from high school in 2018 with plans to attend a higher education institution
  • Have a GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • Group applications must have no more than 3 students
  • Finalists will be required to produce an official transcript on a 4.0 scale from an academic institution from Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Idaho or Washington.


  • Create a 90 second video on how BBB helps people become smart consumers.
  • Video has to focus on one of the following areas: Identity theft and fraud, Online marketplace scams, Phony online reviews, or Charity scams.
